Singing as a Spiritual Practice

Singing as a Spiritual Practice

with Kath Robinson

9 Wednesdays, April 3–May 29, 7:00–9:30pm

ILM Social Hall, Fee: $150

For singers, musicians and music lovers who seek to deepen their experience of the Divine.  We’ll focus on becoming more spiritually available to music and more musically available to spirit, and experience the power of community singing as a transformational force.  Through singing, vocal exercises, sound healing, transformative conversations and personal inquiry we’ll release old thought patterns, heal critical messages and increase our capacity for musical excellence by being an instrument of the Divine.  This class culminates in an Evening of Community Praise–a night of music ministry and magic with our Inner Light House Band on Wednesday May 22.  This course qualifies as a pre-requisite for ILM Choir membership.  No experience necessary.

Kath Robinson is a Practitioner, music minister and a member of the Inner Light Choir.  She has provided classes at Inner Light since 2006, including “Singing as a Spiritual Practice” and “Lift Every Voice,” and she facilitates our annual Community Sing Night.

Childcare is available with pre-registration by March 20.  To pre-register for childcare, please fill out the appropriate fields on the online registration form or contact Families Minister Beth Love, 831-465-9090×213.
